A Touch of Spice and Color | ||
Edward Weston first saw the lowly bell pepper as an object of artistic exploration in his wonderfully sensuous black-and-white photographs of peppers. Lundin Kudo added color and texture and three-dimensional form in these fun, larger-than-life sculptures of peppers. Then she embarked on a further exploration of form and colors in an eggplant sculpture, complete with a section of vine. All of these clay works were hand-built and include an iridescent firing to add a new dimension of interaction between color and light. |
